Adam Fried, Ph.D. Clinical Psychologist

My Approach

My approach to therapy is both empathic and integrative. I draw from insight-oriented, cognitive, and mindfulness-based techniques to help you gain a deeper understanding of your feelings, thoughts, and behaviors — with the goal of reducing distress and creating lasting, meaningful change.

In our initial sessions, I take time to understand who you are as a person, your history, and what you're hoping to get out of therapy. Together, we'll develop goals that are specific to you. As our work continues, we revisit and refine those goals to make sure therapy stays focused on what matters most.

I typically see clients individually on a weekly basis, at least in the beginning. Depending on your needs and progress, we may adjust the frequency over time.

If you're ready to take the next step toward feeling better, I offer a free 15-minute consultation so I can learn more about you and your goals to make sure I'm a good fit and to answer any questions you might have. Reach out to set one up.

No Surprises Act — Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your care will cost.

Under the No Surprises Act, health care providers are required to give clients who don’t have insurance, or who are not using insurance, an estimate of the expected charges for medical services — including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency services, and you can ask for one before you schedule a service or at any time during treatment. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.
